What We Offer

People Friendly Floorplan

The property offers plenty of space for a week, short break or longer holidays for all; extended families – mums and dads, children of all ages, grandparents; or couples and small groups.

The internal layout has a ground floor bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and two generously sized upstairs bedrooms with bathroom. The design of the roomy and airy comfortable lounge and kitchen with dining area give excellent space for relaxing and entertaining. 

The cottage is suitable for people with restricted mobility offering the ground floor bedroom with ensuite. 2 steps into the property. 1 step into the shower. Wider doorways allow for wheelchair usage.

Dog Friendly Cottage

We accept up to 3 dogs free of charge.

We have a Dog Welcome Pack which includes bowls, balls, toys, treats, tags, lead, a towel and poop bags available in the property which is free to use during your stay. 

Preferably, we would like that the dogs do not sit on the sofas, but if this happens at home, please ensure that you bring throws to protect them. We do have some throws available in the basket in the lounge.

Please do not allow your dogs to sleep in the bedrooms or on the beds unless you would like to bring your own bed linen. Please do not shut your dogs in any room on their own. If you wish to leave them in the property, please ensure they will be happy to be left alone or within a crate.  WE adore dogs, and love it that people wish to return regularly to the cottage but please note that any damage or excessive cleaning required which is obviously caused by a dog will deducted from your housekeeping deposit or invoiced separately as required.

Home from Home

For our families, our child and baby friendly equipment will make your stay so much easier.

Inside the cottage we have included children’s cutlery, plates & bowls, cot, highchair, stairgates, bed guard, bottle warmer, steriliser, DVDs & Netflix, age related games and toys, colouring pencils & books. Outside, for use in the garden and at the beach, we have included buckets & spades, crabbing & fishing nets, garden/beach games - plastic skittles, golf set, badminton and a larger than average paddling pool.

For the adults, we have included a selection of board games, Netflix availability, an Alexa and a Bluetooth speaker and Tassimo Coffee Machine.

Services

Food Delivery

We can receive your order and put away your shopping for you in advance of your arrival. Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda and Ocado all deliver to the cottage. Just book it and let us know the time slot - preferably by 2pm.

Arrival and Welcome Pack

We include the following items upon your arrival for your self catering holiday to you started:

- A few dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, dishwashing cloth & scourer, adequate bin bags.

- Tea, Coffee & Sugar Sachets, a set of Tassimo coffee pods

Electric Vehicle Charger

We have installed a pay-as-you-go smart charging point to provide a much needed convenience and service exclusively for our guests. 

Our charging point is powered by VoltShare and is compatible with all modern electric cars.

EV drivers looking to visit us now never need to worry about running out of charge or stopping over at in transit rapid charging points before arrival; no more range anxiety! We are excited to be part of the zero-emission revolution, promoting clean transport in the New Forest. 

As part of their commitment, VoltShare has also recaptured 2000-3000 kg of CO2 for charging point installed.

The charge point is for the exclusive use of our guests. The connection is tethered, type 2, with maximum power output of 7.2kW. 

Our charging rate is set as £0.52/kWh.  Unfortunately, we currently do not have access to cheaper, off-peak tariffs. Please also be aware we may vary this rate without notice, depending upon the price we pay for our electricity. 

As with all commercially operated charge sites, we are obliged to charge VAT for the service. However, unlike commercial operators, we’re not VAT registered and have no way of offsetting this cost. 

We have also added a small uplift, to cover the cost of our Voltshare service and to contribute to the capital investment we have made in installing the EV point.

Reiki and Wellbeing Sessions

If you are looking to really chill out on your holiday, book a relaxing group or individual class with our friend and neighbour, Merlin. Amongst others, group workshops on aromatherapy, sound healing, mindfulness and meditation are available, or take an individual reiki session run in his garden or studio.
